The Dower House at Castle Leod

Set in the beautiful wooded grounds of Castle Leod, the Dower House offers the perfect location for a special holiday.
This cosy house sleeps a maximum of six people and is centrally situated to explore both its immediate environment, Strathpeffer, Inverness and the ‘Black Isle ‘and the wider Highland area such as The Cairngorm National Park, the Central Highlands and North Western and Eastern seaboard areas.
Equally the Dower House is a very convenient stopping off place if you are intending to travel on the car touring route the North 500. We are just 18 miles north of Inverness and you could join us at either the beginning or the end of the route.
Golfers would not be disappointed with a round on the local Stathpeffer Golf Course which offers stunning views, it is a very historic course and a hidden gem!
It is a great area for fishermen with the rivers Conon and Blackwater close by and many hill lochs.
The house also gives access to a wide network of forestry tracks ideal for cycling and walking. These tracks give stunning views of our local Munro status hill- Beinn Wyvis
It would make an ideal honeymoon retreat for anyone considering a wedding at Castle Leod which is the home of Outlander and Clan Mackenzie.
